Biography:
Professor Jerry P. Nolan MB ChB PhD FRCA FRCP FFICM FRCEM (Hon)
Jerry Nolan is a consultant in anaesthesia and intensive care medicine at the Royal United Hospital,
Bath, UK, Professor of Resuscitation Medicine at the University of Warwick, and Honorary Professor
of Resuscitation Medicine at the University of Bristol, UK. Jerry is immediate past Chairman of the
European Resuscitation Council (ERC) and immediate past Co-chairman of the International Liaison
Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR). Jerry is Editor-in-Chief of the journal Resuscitation.
His research interests are in CPR, airway management, and post-cardiac arrest treatment – he has
authored over 300 original papers, reviews and editorials on these topics.
