Biography:
Dr. Sheng-En Chu is an attending emergency physician at Far Eastern Memorial Hospital (FEMH) in Taiwan. His areas of expertise include resuscitation science, CPR hemodynamics, extracorporeal life support, and prehospital emergency care systems. Dr. Chu is a key member of the team that developed and implemented the ECPR (extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation) program for patients with out-of-hospital cardiac arrest at FEMH. In recent years, FEMH has become one of the leading hospitals in Taiwan in advancing ECPR for this population, successfully establishing a coordinated system that links fire departments, emergency medicine, cardiology, and cardiovascular surgery teams. Dr. Chu also actively collaborates on international research and education in resuscitation science.
