Biography：
Dr. Yen's academic output includes numerous publications, with research covering various topics in thoracic surgery, thoracic oncology, and trauma. Growing up as a surgeon, Dr. Yen became an attending surgeon in thoracic surgery in 2008 and has been the director of the division of trauma and acute care surgery since July 2016. His research topics of interest include multi-omic approach for a deep dive in thymic epithelial tumors and lung cancer, the effectiveness of specific surgical techniques, and multidisciplinary team approaches for patients with major trauma and postpartum hemorrhage. Since 2020, in order to facilitate the ultimate deployment of minimally invasive surgery and the care for patients with major trauma, Dr. Yen was deeply obliged and dedicate to the development of a Double Hybrid, combining a hybrid operating room for minimally invasive surgery, and a hybrid emergency room for patients with major trauma. With this cutting-edge equipment, the art of minimally invasive surgery and workflow of trauma surgery could be further improved.
