Biography:
Dr. Chih-Hung Wang is a Clinical Associate Professor and Attending Physician in the Department of
Emergency Medicine at National Taiwan University Hospital. He earned his MD and PhD from National
Taiwan University and has devoted his academic career to advancing resuscitation science and critical care
research.
His research centers on optimizing outcomes after cardiac arrest, with a particular focus on the role of vital
signs, hemodynamic targets, and prognostic indicators in guiding post-resuscitation care. Dr. Wang has led
multiple systematic reviews, cohort studies, and translational investigations examining how blood pressure,
oxygenation, lactate, and end-tidal CO₂ influence survival and neurological recovery.
More recently, his work has expanded into artificial intelligence applications, developing machine learning
models for predicting cardiac arrest and improving real-time decision support in emergency and critical care.
He has authored over 90 peer-reviewed publications in journals such as Critical Care Medicine, Resuscitation,
and Journal of the American Heart Association.
