This sophisticated system represents one of the most advanced emergency medical frameworks in Japan.
Under Professor Takeuchi's leadership, an ambitious initiative launched in July 2025 aims to establish Yokohama as Japan's leading city for resuscitation success rates over a two-year period. The city has implemented a centralized severe trauma system, with Professor Takeuchi's hospital serving as the primary trauma center.
Professor Takeuchi's roles as academic leader, regional medical director, and national emergency medicine board member position him uniquely to bridge clinical excellence with systematic healthcare delivery improvements at both local and national levels.
